Windows 98: in the cold
For those of you still using Windows 98, you are about to be left out in the cold. Support for it ends on July 12 and it’s already missing out on critical updates. I guess Microsoft’s thought is that it will then force people to update to a supported version of Windows. But you know what? The people still using Windows 98 are not the people who pay attention to critical updates. And they’ll continue to blindly use it as it becomes more and more vulnerable. This could eventually become a big problem as the number of compromised Win98 machines increases…
