What were you thinking?
A sheik was just sentenced to 75 years in prison for his ties to al-Qaeda, thanks to two FBI informants. “One of the informants, Mohamed Alanssi, set himself on fire outside the White House in November 2004 in what he later described as an attempt to get more money from the FBI, which paid him at least $100,000 for his work.” (my bolding) My responses:
1) Maybe he’d have been more successful if he’d just asked for more money instead.
2) What’s the point of more money if you’re a charred corpse?
3) So did he think the FBI would then say, “Here, here! Take more money, take whatever you want, but whatever you do, PLEASE DON’T SET YOURSELF ON FIRE AGAIN!!!”?
